The Fresno LGBT Community Center is staffed by volunteers. Our volunteers are community members who give of themselves and their time in order to serve the LGBT community in Fresno and the Central Valley. Volunteers work various shifts and hours depending on their own circumstances. We have weekly staffers, bi-weekly staffers and monthly staffers.
Our staff consists of members from the LGBT community as well as allies.
Since shifts and hours vary depending on availability, we can’t guarantee a particular volunteer on a particular day. If you prefer to talk to a certain member of the community (gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, straigh ally, etc.) please call the Center and ask about availability. We are happy to set up a connection to who you feel comfortable talking to. We are also well connected in the community at large and if we can’t find someone on staff to personally connect to, we should be able to connect you to someone in the community to suit your needs.
We are here for you. While we do not, at this time, staff professional counselors, we are happy to talk about the issues you are seeking help with and connect you to the appropriate resource.
If you are in crisis please check our main page for crisis intervention.
We also have volunteers that do not staff the LGBT Center directly, but are available to help as needed.
We are currently closed Sundays & Mondays & Wednesdays
