We are pleased to welcome Mandy and Kayleia as our Fall 2012 interns!

These two will be working closely with staff and program directors to learn more about the ins and outs of running a community center!

Looking for volunteer staff….

The Fresno LGBT Community Center is currently understaffed. In order to be able to stay open 20 hours a week, we need a few more volunteers willing to give their time and energy.

We are open Wed-Sat, Noon-5pm and are located at 1055 N Van Ness Ave Suite A

What we are looking for: Motivated friendly individuals who can answer the phone, talk to walk-ins, provide general information, and do small office projects as needed. (Projects vary from bracelet prep, taking inventory, etc to making phone calls or data entry.)

What is the time commitment? :Ideally we would like candidates to be free for one full shift a week. a shift is Noon – 5pm on either Wednesday or Thursday/ However, we understand that making an “every week” commitment might be hard…. so we are open to scheduling volunteers for 1-4 shifts a month, such as the first Thursday or the 2nd and 3rd Thursday etc.

Welcome to the new Fresno LGBT Community Center’s website!

We are in the midst of getting this new site all set up… thank you for your patience and support.

The Fresno LGBT Community Center is a project of Gay Central Valley and is pleased to serve Fresno and the surrounding areas. The Center hosts a lending library, a safe space, and a resource center for the LGBT community here in Fresno.
